K-Pop Artist 2

Good Monday Morning Fashionistas,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

This week’s k-pop artist is similar to last week, in that it is a group of girls rather than a single artist. This girls group is Girls Generation. My current favorite song by them is Gee. This song is really upbeat and makes you want to get up and dance along with them. The outfits that the girls wear in this song are just as happy and upbeat as the song itself.

The first outfit is really simple and can be worn everyday and almost anywhere. Start off with your favorite pair of khaki shorts, add a pink or other light-colored long sleeve shirt and some cute socks. Finish this sweet look off with a belt and some ankle boots or Mary Janes and you are ready to go.

The next look is a bit of an occasion type look. If you are heading to the skating rink, you could try this outfit. Grab a plain white, fitted tee and your favorite dark wash jeans. Finish this rink ready outfit with a pair of white skate and you are ready to roll. For those of you who want to wear this everyday, all you have to do is substitute the skates for a pair of white ankle boots or sneakers.

The last look is super sweet and colorful. This could make your day a little brighter. Start this look with a long sleeve gray t-shirt, add your favorite bright colored cotton shorts or shorts overalls. Throw on a long beaded necklace to match or compliment the shorts. Finish this look off with some white ruffle socks and white Mary Janes and you are ready to bright the day.

That’s all for today fashionistas.

Stay fierce,

Gee by Girls Generation

K-pop artist 1

Hey all you fashionistas,
I’m going to change up the blog a little bit. I’m going to show you all how some of my favorite k-pop artists outfits can be taken to the streets. The first k-pop group is 2NE1. I love these girls and all their music. These are some of the outfits from their video Clap your hands.

As you will notice the girls’ outfits are very street but girl never fear you can make it look more natural.
To recreate this outfit all you need is black sweats & black top and a camo hoodie. Complete this awesome street look with some cool black high top like Nike or Adidas. Then girls, hit the streets and strut your stuff.

This next outfit has a bit of a martial arts feel to it and it is not exactly street ready but here’s how you can make more suited for everyday.
Start out with a plain white tank and some white skinny jeans in your favorite style. Add some white high tops like the black ones. Finish off this outfit with some red suspenders or red vest. Now your are rockin’ it like 2NE1.

This last look is a little more tribal. To create this look get out your favorite camo tee and some all black “flying squirrel” pants. Finish out the look with some black combat boots or just plain black boots.

If you want to fully complete these looks with the girls makeup here are the tutorials.

Strut your stuff

Hello fashionistas,
Another fashion week has come and gone but like so many everyday girls out there I didn’t have the pleasure of attending. However the lovely fashion week people posted photos from the event.
Here are some of the highlights that have caught my eye. For the first time in my blogs short life the guys are gonna have some of the spotlight.
Here are the ladies of the runway:

For those of you who are curious as to what the new ball gowns or event outfits are, look no further:

Now guys, here’s your ode to fashion:

Stay fashionable my friends,

The summer was too short for our shorts

As the leaves fall off the trees, many think time to pack up all my summer clothes but don’t pack up those shorts just yet. That single item of clothing can transcend the seasons.
To bring your shorts into the fall season with you just add a pair of tights and a pair of boots or loafers, top it off with a jacket or sweater and you are ready to go.
Here is the best way I’ve found to bring your shorts out of summer and into fall.

Here’s some more inspiration to get you started.

Pair a fitted blazer, blouse, long socks and ankle boots for a tailored look. You could pair a button down with tights and ankle boots for a more casual looks. For those rocker fashionistas out there pair your shorts with a tank, a leather jacket boots, tights and a scarf.

Even celebrities are picking up on this transcending trend. Check out these shorted ladies.

Wanna make a indie look out of your shorts. Pair loafer, tights, shades, and a funky leather jacket with your best shorts and hit the town.

Do you have a more classic look? Try tweed shorts and a frilly blouse with classic loafers or sexy ankle boots.

All my pink loving fashionistas out there this is the outfit for you.

Remember just because the season changes doesn’t mean the way you dress should. Adding a few pieces of clothing can make your items last that much longer.

Stay chic fashionistas,
